AIGA Boston.

dimensions: 26" x 20"
printing: 4/1 offset, printed on Gilbert Oxford #80text, on two shades: Cream, Fiber White.
notes: Full of the mistakes of the time (first use of photoshop, not converting RGB to CMYK - causing film to be run three times), the poster ended up showing in, of all things, Step-by-Step Design, the American Center for Design 100 Show, and the Museum fur Kunst und Gewerbe, Frankfurt, Germany. Done in the basement of Marc's home in Lexington, Massachusetts, with a flooded basement and space heaters. Imagery drawn from Native American pictographs.

Laurie Anderson: Language is Virus [1988]

dimensions: 24" x 36"
printing: 3-color, hand-pulled silkscreen
notes: Designed in Superpaint, a primal software program, and then silkscreened, happily combining technologies. Typeface designed to have no hanging descenders, but instead to have all letterforms align on baseline, therefore being seen as having the ups and downs and readability of lower case, but also the monumental qualities of all caps. A prayer rug, of sorts.
