The MARK logo followed a natural path, from creating a mark that refers to the arrow 'blazes' left by guides or scouts - trailblazers, to creating a mark that was then cut from wood (as are skateboards) and then using age-old printing techniques, as seen above, and in the opening pages from the MARK Skateboards website.

Below, Marc English and photographer Dan Winters, in Driftwood, Texas, unveil the MARK totem. And below the totem, opening shots from the website . The wood blocks were custom cut from cedar and then printed letter-press style to create the FINAL logo(s).
